Flashback. Owned a 91 Legend coupe Type 1 and a 2nd owner 1991 NSX. Owned the NSX from 1996 until 2017. Sold the Legend to a mechanic because the weaklink transmission was bad (for the 2nd time) and sold the NSX to a friend who will restore to better condition.

  2. A Vardanyan says:

I and my family have had a Legend/RL of all models from 1987 to 2003 – 1987, 1990, 1995 Legends and 1996, 2003 RLs. It was my favorite car up until 2015 after which I don't own an Acura anymore. Like somebody mentioned in the comments, these cars looked better than lot of cars now.

  3. Raj Brar says:

He didn't mention the weird placement of the engine and transmission — longitudinal format. It is almost like they wanted to make the car RWD but then decided to keep it FWD. All other Hondas of the day had a transverse-mounted.

  4. Thomas Williamson says:

Doug you really are ignorant when it comes to facts about Acura and other vehicles. The reason it says it Honda all over it. Is because the Legend was made in Japan and they did not in the 1990's have Acura in Japan. It was called a Honda Legend. The A emblem is a actually a detailed instrument not an upside down H emblem. I stopped watching your videos a year ago, as they were just entertaining and most of your information was incorrect so I would not support your so called reviews.

  5. Hue Nhuan says:

There should be two different "Doug" scoring standards, one for current/upcoming models and a different one for past models based on their contemporaries. You can't judge past cars of different eras by today's standards. Different styles, different needs and different technology. Even classics will pale in certain aspects of the Doug score compared to modern cars.

  6. Alton Patterson says:

This is the type of car I look for in the toy isle as a little kid. No one wants some dragon car to play with, I want a legend to drive around on my play mat with the roads. Y’all know the one I’m talking about

  7. J L says:

I believe the clock display button was that small round button to the far right. The door was just designed to push that button.

  8. njaneardude says:

I bought one at an auction back in the early oughts for hardly anything, five speed. I couldn’t keep my foot off the gas and decided to sell it, I didn’t know it was special. It was sold as soon as the Autotrader ad posted.

  9. Justin Pino says:

They were the jawn when they came out. Doug is too you g to understand, people buying these hadn't driven cars from 2020 and might have been driving a Plymouth Horizon or Chrysler whatever before getting a Legend.

  10. postersm 71 says:

Modern cars absolutely have a foot well accent lighting. Ford‘s been doing it forever and cars like the mustang, the F1 50 etc. and my wife was driving a 2020 Prius with foot well lighting

  11. Doc says:

Oh Doug, you act surprised by the ashtray in a car from the 90’s. Literally every car used to come with ashtrays back then. Once again proving you’re not a car guy. These are simple things buddy.
