Honestly, the biggest problem with this bike is that by the time you get all the mods you want for it, it is going to be getting really close to the price of a Triumph street twin, which is a more premium bike! But if you dont care about that, it is a REALLY good looking bike and a dream bike for modifying!

I get annoyed that bikes have to be pidgeon-holed as adventure or sport or 1st Big bike etc etc..I've ridden for 49 years and owned about 40 machines from the sublime to the ridiculous.Every bike was an adventure bike..every journey an adventure of discovery experience and pride of ownership..I run an old Tmax now and it is every bit as fun as the gsxr's,tuono, X11, a heap of hinkley Triumphs and older kwacka Zeds Gs's, customs and even a few chops! Buy a bike because you love the way it looks and have adventures whenever you ride.Beautiful Bikes these an Enfield is going from strength to strength..think I may still have a few 1970's MCN's 😀😀

  3. Emily Critchley says:

Tek 2 into 1 system works better than the s&s slip ons, with a few more bits they recommend it's actually quite a fruity twin. I'm very impressed. It's a lovely machine

  4. Jimmy Jam says:

The issue I have with my Interceptor is the frequency that I need to take it for servicing. In Covid times they don't let you stay in the place and three hours outside is cold this time of year. Valves need doing annually irrespective of mileage.. So if you do 3000m a year like me then every services becomes a major service. Cost is not an issue thought because it's cheap as chips. It's a great bike, but being my second bike she's going to be sold. Still recommend it though.

I've always thought about doing my bike licence but never got round to doing it.
Saw the Royal Enfield Interceptor online one day and just wanted one!

Hoping this year to get round to doing my test and hoping the Interceptor will be my first bike!

Great price, great power and it looks awesome, add some slip ons and it sounds amazing!

Think it's a bike i would keep too. I love the whole retro bike thing right now and think the royal enfield is the best looks and sound. It's not always about power.

I'd like a 2 bike garage so would get something totally different to sit alongside i think in the future.

  6. Fear Nothing says:

I had a Himalayan and put 10k Mi on it for a first rider, loved it. I just got the INT650 a few months ago, and I’ve been smiling ever since. I think it’s the perfect bike.

  7. Mark says:

Great review and some great mods. I test rode one a year ago and I thought it was lovely to ride. However l do like the Guzzi V7 any thoughts? Cheers

  8. Gary Woodward says:

I've been riding a 125 for a year now and about to purchase an Interceptor as my first big bike. Great video. Handy to know RE have a 'how to' section on their site too!

  9. Jerrin Dani Philip says:

Could you post the mods done and changes made so that other owners could look it up. It would be great if you could give exact names, sry I'm a getting introduced to big bikes, hence the advice. Tq.

  12. Fábio Pais says:

so the bike is great, butttttt….. you changed.. tires.. suspension… mirrors….seat…. well.. it looks like it aint that great getting out of factory

  13. Terry Brooks says:

Bloody hell its triggers broom ( only fools and horses) 2500 miles new seat .suspension back and front .exhaust. airfilter tyres clutch and brake levers and how many road bikes run inner tubes can't just plug and ride.could of been a good review if it had been on the original bike how many people can buy a bike at this price point then spend all that money modifying it.

  14. Ian W says:

Enjoyed the review however not sure that a puncture is a major problem with the bike? I will be happy if thats the only major thing that goes wrong with my RE. Maybe the continentals are a softer compound tire than the Pirellis. Just a thought. Cheers

  15. K1rnl Sudo says:

Mr. Neeves, I really wish you had a podcast. I am sure there is a ton of knowledge, experience, and stories you could share with the motorcycle world! Cheers, and Merry Christmas!

PS: And if you do have one what is it called?

  16. Paavan Shetty says:

Simple and sweet bike and corresponding review!👍🏼 Royal Enfield definitely nailed this one with the required perfection… whether it be the product or the DIY videos u mentioned!👍🏼

  17. Steve C-B says:

spokes dont give rise to punctures unless they are too long! I disagree with the other `theories` not based on fact or experience. If I was in the middle of nowhere I would rather change a tube than locate, plug and reinflate a tubeless tyre. (I don`t rely on sticking patches….carry a tube)

  18. Lee B says:

Cant say I have ever found tubed tyres a problem in fact it was great when i used to ride in the 70s puncture repair kit or a couple of spare tubes and levers job done,

  19. Christian Grendel says:

Loved the way you got all excited before the ignition switch was pushed. I remember sitting on the Continental at Eicma and straight away I had a smile on my face. Great review. Clever mods. 👍

  20. SB Rides says:

Not really standard long term test of the product…… major structural replacements, front suspension, rear suspension, tyres, exhaust and seat. No longer good value for money if all these mods are required as the increased cost is likely to be considerable.. probably better to purchase slightly more expensive motorcycle in the first place such as Kawasaki W800…. puncture is hardly a defect…. MCN you've done much better than this…..not great .
